About The Event
Two-day Intensive Workshop:
Day 1 (June 14, 12:15PM – 5:30PM)
Day 2 (June 15, 12PM – 7 PM)
This intensive is about building “traditional” rope scenes. At its heart we hope to move closer to finding meaning in the question: How do we transform intricate patterns and suspension sequences into scenes charged with heat, intimacy, and vulnerability?
So often we get caught up in technical tying and lose sight of the moment and each other. The technicalities of fear and emotions surrounding gote shibari (TK/boxtie) provide a beautiful classical stage to explore navigating these obstructions and answering the above question. Flowing through a journey with three movements we will explore ways we can add movement, intention, and vulnerability into our ties to create more cohesive and powerful scenes using gote shibari (TK/boxtie).
