About The Event
Join Birdhaus for a community screening of Modern Whore, the TIFF-selected hybrid documentary based on Andrea Werhun's memoir of the same name. Werhun plays herself, stepping back into her past roles as an escort, a stripper, and an OnlyFans creator, splitting the film between documentary interviews and staged reenactments of her own history. It's funny, it's sharp, and it doesn't flinch. Most importantly, it's a sex work story told by the person who lived it.
After the film, writer/star Andrea Werhun and writer/director Nicole Bazuin join us for a panel discussion. Bring your questions. Doors 7pm, screening 8pm. Full bar open all night, and popcorn's on the house.
