Tying For Speed

Nothing makes a rope scene feel clunky quite like struggling with speed and grace. In this class we’ll cover tips and tricks for smooth tying, with the aim to build confidence in working quickly for riggers, and helping models recognize opportunities to assist.

You’ll practice handling drills standing, kneeling and sitting, explore ways of eliminating extra movements, and run exercises for effective partnering as you stay out of each other’s way and in easy flow.

This class is aimed at partnered tying, but solo folks can easily modify the content or are welcome to partner with each other.

Riggers should be confident in their single column ties, and be at least beginning to explore harness structures, although all levels of experience can benefit from this class.

Models should be capable of taking feedback on body position and able to work communicatively with their partner.
